At Smelli Rosa LLC ("we", "us", "our"), we are committed to saving the planet by engineering uplifting sustainable solutions that create the least amount of harm to living beings, including mother earth.
We recently started working on health, safety, and engineering (HSE) initiatives in 2026 to keep our workers safe too!
From how we make art to getting our products to people, we do our best to use less plastic and harmful chemicals! We use paper-products, non-toxic art supplies, and biodegradable plastics (made from PLA or starch) wherever possible.
When we source collectibles, we try to do it with the least amount of traveling or shipping. We combine shipping when we can to try to reduce emissions that may impact our clean air.
When we ship things to our customers, we re-use paper boxes, use paper-based tapes, and thermal labels that use little-to-no inks. We stamp our brand with non-toxic inks. In the times we use plastic, usually we are re-using it or saved it from going to a landfill for at least one more use. We also aim to use plastics that are highly recyclable.
We often sell graded cards and collectibles that are often encased in a thick clear acrylic, polycarbonate or medical grade plastics by a third-party company to preserve cards for a long time. We do not recommend regularly "cracking slabs" to get higher grades only for the money. Every once in a while is okay, but cracking slabs on the daily may not be okay. This is because we believe cracking slabs regularly may have negative impact on the environment.
We are currently doing research to figure out how these card slab plastics can be recycled! Here's what we know so far:
Polycarbonate card plastic slabs are estimated to be 100% recyclable (Source: Acme Plastics)
Check with your local plastic recycling location and ask how to recycle! Sometimes they pay you!
We are available to help you figure out where to recycle the plastic from our products for free! Email us to let us know you need support!
We try to partner with companies that align with our values to save the planet too! We're currently trying to make a resource on how to recycle materials at your nearest location.
We are not perfect, but we aim to do the next healthy thing by holding ourselves accountable! If you have feedback on how we can be better, let us know by emailing us! We are open to growing together!
